Prof.ª Dra. Gleyvis Coro Montanet

Profesora Titular y Profesora Doctora Acreditada por ANECA. Doctora en Estomatología y Doctora en Ciencias de la Educación, con Mención Internacional. Licenciada en Odontología, título homologado en España en 2011. Cuenta con formación de posgrado especializada, entre la que destacan un Máster en Urgencias Odontológicas y un Máster Europeo en Calidad de la Educación. Fue becaria de la AECID.

Ha desarrollado una intensa actividad investigadora internacional, realizando estancias en España, México, Holanda y Chile. Es autora de más de 30 publicaciones científicas, entre artículos en revistas indexadas, libros y capítulos de libro, centrados principalmente en didáctica médica y educación en ciencias de la salud. Ha sido reconocida con el premio Laureate Health Science Specialist por su labor como formadora de profesorado en simulación clínica en España, Latinoamérica y Estados Unidos.

Ha participado activamente en la comunidad académica y científica, con más de 70 ponencias en congresos. Ha liderado y gestionado proyectos de innovación educativa en diversas instituciones, incluyendo la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Pinar del Río, la Universidad Europea de Madrid y la Universidad Francisco de Vitoria. Está certificada como instructora en simulación por el Center for Medical Simulation de Boston y el Hospital Virtual Valdecilla.

Ha sido investigadora principal de cinco proyectos de innovación docente, logrando financiación externa competitiva y un sexenio de investigación reconocido por la CNEAI. Entre 2017 y 2023 formó parte de la junta directiva de la SESSEP y del comité organizador de sus congresos.

Actualmente, desempeña el cargo de Directora de Calidad e Innovación Educativa en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Vida y la Naturaleza de la Universidad Nebrija.

She is a Full Professor and an ANECA-accredited Professor. She holds a Ph.D. in Stomatology and a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences with International Mention. She earned her degree in Dentistry, which was officially recognized in Spain in 2011. Her postgraduate training includes a Master's degree in Dental Emergencies and a European Master's degree in Quality in Education. She was awarded a scholarship by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

She has developed an extensive international research career, completing research stays in Spain, Mexico, the Netherlands, and Chile. She is the author of more than 30 scientific publications, including articles in peer-reviewed journals, books, and book chapters, primarily focused on medical education and health sciences education. She received the Laureate Health Science Specialist Award in recognition of her work in training faculty in clinical simulation across Spain, Latin America, and the United States.

She has been actively involved in the academic and scientific community, delivering more than 70 presentations at national and international conferences. She has led and managed educational innovation projects at several institutions, including the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río, the European University of Madrid, and Francisco de Vitoria University. She is a certified simulation instructor through the Center for Medical Simulation (Boston) and Hospital Virtual Valdecilla.

She has served as Principal Investigator on five educational innovation projects, securing competitive external funding and earning a nationally recognized six-year research evaluation (sexenio de investigación) awarded by the Spanish National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI).

From 2017 to 2023, she served on the Executive Board of the Spanish Society for Simulation and Standardized Patients (SESSEP) and was a member of the organizing committee for its annual conferences.

She currently serves as Director of Quality and Educational Innovation in the Faculty of Life and Nature Sciences at Nebrija University.
